Legend Center Mission
The Legend Center strives to meet the needs of every resident and patient we serve regardless of whether their length of stay with us is a few days or several weeks.

History
Our founder, Leo P. LaChance, successful businessman, real estate developer and philanthropist, created Eastwood Pines Nursing Home in 1969 when he was seeking quality, state-of-the-art nursing care in the Central Massachusetts region for his mother.

As healthcare and rehabilitative technologies changed, Mr. LaChance expanded the realm of services to meet the growing needs of the community.

More recently, Eastwood Pines underwent extensive facility renovations and also created its state-of-the-art sub-acute care unit. As a result, Eastwood Pines expanded its focus in the areas of skilled rehabilitation and sub-acute nursing services, becoming the leading provider of extended health care services for the region.

Renamed the Legend Center in honor of Mr. LaChance’s vision and perseverance to create an expert medical center, today we continue to provide high quality long-term care and short-term stay programs in our 120-bed facility in the heart of Central Massachusetts.
